FAQs

Lake Run FAQs

What is a virtual run?

Because it is currently unsafe to hold large gatherings, we are holding a virtual Lake Run this year. That means that anyone can participate from any location! Simply register to participate and then on the weekend of the race, run/walk a 5K or 10K course of your own choosing, then upload your time to compare your results with other Lake Run participants!

How will the race be timed?

You will be in charge of timing your own race with your phone, watch, or other device and then uploading it into the site to compare your results with others.

Is there a set course for the 2021 Virtual Lake Run?

No, you determine your own course for the virtual Lake Run. Track your distance with a GPS device such as your phone, smartwatch, or other GPS device. There are many apps that will calculate your distance such as Strava or MapMyRun

Will there be a packet pick-up for the 2021 Virtual Lake Run?

No, there is no packet pick-up for this year’s race.

Will I get a shirt for participating in the 2021 Lake Run?

2021 Lake Run shirts will be available for purchase. They are not included in registration this year.

I participated in the Lake Run last year – can I see what my race results were?

Certainly! Visit the Race Results page — you can find your race results from several previous years, too.
