Lake Run FAQs

Have the courses received USATF Certification?

The 10K and the 5K were measured and certified by an official with the USA Track and Field Association in April 2014. Thus, you can run with assurance that the distance is exact to USATF standards.

How will the race be timed?

We work with Accustat Sports Timing Co. and Chronotrack B-Tag “chip in the bib” timing. Two LED display clocks will be positioned at the finish line for runners of both races to view the time as they near the finish line. Runners will be able to access their results by touch screen at the results tent. Results will also be posted on the website.

Can we get a group discount or a team package?

We are not providing group or team discounts this year.

Is the Lake Run stroller friendly? Are MP3s allowed?

Strollers and the use of MP3s are allowed in the 10K and 5K races. For the safety of the stroller participant and others, we ask that all walkers and stroller participants begin the race at the back of the pack of runners. Stroller participants and runners using MP3s, as well as all runners, will be reminded to stay to the right side of the road and within the orange cones. Anyone running outside the orange cones may collide with an oncoming car. MP3 users need to be aware of their surroundings as they may not hear car horns. Run at your own risk.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are not allowed in the 10K and 5K races. Dogs are allowed at Millennium Plaza Park during the Lake Run Family Fun Festival.

Can I get a shirt if I register after April 30?

Maybe. We cannot guarantee that shirts will be available to participants who register after April 30. 

I participated in the Lake Run last year – can I see what my race results were?

Certainly! Visit the Race Results page — you can find your race results from several previous years, too.
